Valdivia Marine Park / Parque Marino Valdivia
Parque Marino Valdivia is a project undertaken by the Ecuadorian Government in order to supply Valdivia commune with an aquarium given the large number of species living in that environment. The final design was done in partnership with PTMStudio that was in charge of interior pools design and other special facilities.
The construction included a system of ramps necessary to walk over the natural slope which have been made from materials found in the soil whilst excavation work, furthermore railings were designed in muyuyo wood, an endemic species.
The building was located far from the highway to avoid excessive noise and built under traditional mechanisms and materials.
